Journal #5

Today I woke up and decided to finish modding my cube. So I ate cereal and went outside to start dremeling. In the middle of modding, it started raining and then pouring. It was pretty subtle at first but it rained really hard for the next 2 hours. After I finished carving all the pieces and put the cube all back together, there was just a slight improvement of turning in the outer layers and a little bit more efficient at corner cutting. The end results weren't as fatal as I would've like them to be.
After that, I made my own chicken sandwich with some pretty worn out lettuce. It was still edible, but not great. I decided to finish most of my homework after that. After my homework, I decided to surf the web, browse on Youtube videos and just killing time for the entire day. I played some Fruit Ninja after that and kind of got pissed since I didn't touch the bomb and it exploded. That was it for the day.

Journal #4

Today, I woke up and just layer in bed to check on some tech news and browsed on some YouTube videos. It was pretty ordinary and I finally got out of bed at 10:00. After that, I headed out and went out to places. Then when I came home, I "vacuumed" the house and played some games. There really wasn't much to do so I decided to mod my cube.
There's this method called the SS method and it supposed to get rid of and ridged feels on the cube and let it turn better. I carved the cube with a dremel and the plastic was probably toxic since it smelled like burnt PVC. I'm halfway through the mod and the modded the half turned out to be pretty good so far.

Journal #3

I started the day as an ordinary day. Got dressed and had some cereal. I then checked my email along with my other notifications. After I got all that out of the way, I decided to watch Adventure Time. It was an all new season and they we're suppose to show who Finn's dad was, but it was a disappointment since his dad was a total idiot. Other than that, it was a pretty good episode.
After watching, I had to give my dog a shower and he hates water more than anything. In the end, he got mad but forgot about it after I gave him a treat. I decided to catch up on my math homework and did a few assignments. I also did a practice AP exam for math and was really hard to keep focus since I keep messing around with anything on my desk. That's basically about it for the day.

Journal #2

I woke up at around 10 and headed to Target. I went inside and found a flooded toilet inside the bathroom. I checked to see if they had any Transformer figures from the new movie but they did not. I then proceeded to the vacuum section to check out the Dyson vacuum. I opened them and took it apart to check out how it works and where the air flows.
Since it was Earth Day, I heard Apple's retail store logos had a green leaf. I called the nearest store and to my disappointment, they said the nearest store with the green leaf was the one in Los Gatos. After that, I noticed there was an update for iOS and for the Mac. They introduced the Mac beta program, which I joined and I'm allowed to test their beta software.

Journal #1

Today wasn't too productive like always. Woke up late and stayed in bed to watch Youtube videos. In the evening, I went out to play with my dog and that made him wild. He ran around and started pissing everywhere and eating dirt. I went inside to surf on the web and watch some more videos.
After watching videos, I played with my cube because I got really bored. I got my personal best today on the 4x4 with 2 minutes and 9 seconds. After cubing, I went back outside to swat some flies that were flying around with my electric fly swatter. I got around 4 or 5 down and the rest of them left. I hope I can finish my nonfiction book by tonight and that's all the work for one day.

Gestures

Gestures are related to the thoughts of the actors in a play. They portray the actors' thinking and the emphasis they are trying to prove. Gestures show the emotion of the actors in the play from raising fists to applauding. Gestures also help the audience visualize what is going on if they are too far away to see the facial expressions of the actors.

SSR

Today in class for ssr, I read a book called The Underneath. It consist of many stories that are separated into really short chapters. The book begins by introducing a gray calico cat that was on its own. It was slowly, gradually walking along the road since it was carrying two kittens. The cat's family obscurely abandoned her in a forest and she was on her own to survive. Moreover, somewhere in a forest, a lightning storm was brewing and a huge lightning bolt cracked and splitter an ancient tree right down to the core. After that incident, somewhere far beneath said in a whispery voice: sooooon. Jumping back to the cat, she was walking into a forest when she heard a song. It contained bluesy notes and the calico cat could feel the emotionally agonizing of the howler. She decided to pay the singer a visit and followed her sense of hearing.  It lead to a junky backyard with bear bottles assorted and found a dog being chained up with a 20 ft. radius. To the dog's surprise, the cat went right next to him and purred. Most cats that he experienced with would just walk along the fence and ignore his calls and alerting howls but this cat decided to provide him comfort. He understand that the cat understood his emotional pain through the tune. Turning our attention to that crippled tree, the creature was revealed to be a snake. Not any old snake but a very wise and malicious snake waiting to come out and seek revenge. Another day passed by and the cat gave birth to two kittens: a pure silver cat just like her and another kitten with a white crescent on his forehead. The dog, Ranger, decided to call the guy Puck and the girl Sabine. Back into the haze, there was a boy that was struck by his father right on the face leaving a huge gash. Unlike any other child who would then be filled with guilt and remorse, he was filled with hatred toward his father who struck him. He decided to grab everything important to him and a rifle and left. He trudged through the forest all night only eating grubs and worms. The hunger got through him and he decided that he needed a bigger prey. From a nearby rustle he herd, he readily aimed his rifle. There was a white tailed deer and he only had one bullet left. He shot the deer and it clearly hit the leg but it started to run away. He went after him and that's where I left off. Based on all the events happening the observations, I think the book is unique in the way it presents the story by jumping between multiple stories. In my opinion, this brings out the reader's curiosity and influences more imagination. I can also see some connections between the three stories because of the house the dog lives in is so close to the forest, the man traveling in the forest, and the snake under the forest's tree.

Poetry Reflection

I thought I wouldn't enjoy the poetry unit simply because I wasn't very fond of poetry. Although that is, I did have a good time conjuring poems and sharing them. I had a great experience and learned a lot of terms and elements of poetry along the way. According to the feedback I received, my poem was logical, which leads to the belief that I did good.

Ballad

Chocolate

Dark chocolate
With its rich bitter taste
Is the elixir of life

Chocolate is a potion
With its sweet aromatic smell
Capturing the heart of all ages

The smooth edges
and the deep darkness
is a choice of a treat or a life saving decoction

Dark chocolate
With its rich bitter taste
Is the elixir of life

The soft muted snap of a bark
Turning the bar into two organic shapes
With crumbs jumping to the floor

In between the crevices of the newly cracked bar
Natural ridges of shaved chocolate
Mixed with a little bit of white evaporated sugar

Dark chocolate
With its rich bitter taste

Is the elixir of life

Ode

Ode to Cavern

Ode to cavern
Bigger than the ocean
The natural cold stony walls
With the cold breezy
Wind of the sea
The glistening of the saltwater on the walls
Although with rugged pointed edges of rocks
The cove provides protection
Such creation
Or mistake is
An anomaly
With random day trippers
Who are as lost as the city of Atlantis
Finding comfort in a silent cave
A cozy cave
As foreign as aliens
Yet finding comfort and trust in a matter of seconds

Ode to caverns

Elegy

Time

Gone...but where?
I can't call you on the phone
I can't knock on your door
No matter how loud I scream you can’t respond
I held your hand as you took your last agonizing breath
You stuttered and struck again

I stared
Hoping you would go faster
But when I look back, I dreamt you would stop
You were created
living for eternity

While the ones that need you the most
Are filled with remorse
Only then do you stop
Mocking them in their disappointment,
their failure
As if you had no emotions

You are there
Unbreachable
We can experience you
But paradoxically
You don’t exist in our vision
Not able to be interpreted

We tried to solve you
To captivate you
But you are infinite
Limitless
Something imagine by the creators
Who can’t tame their own invention

Fate
Crucial decisions
Heart pacing events
Last second moves
Breathtaking moments
All depend on its decision

Unstoppable,
Not even if someone is always angry
We hopelessly watch
Letting you
Playfully
jokingly
decide.

We unknowingly gave you life
And foolishly gave you freedom
We mourn for your passed
And plead that you don’t leave
Yet you slowly
Painstakingly
Drift away

Limerick

There once was a man
Who had a failed tan
And with his deadly farts
As deadly as darts
Blew up all of Japan

Haiku

Volcano

Ocean waves splashing
I hear a giant rumble
Boom, everyone dead
